There he goes – interview with our director / colleague / father Bas Stuij who is going to enjoy his retirement!
28 January 2021

Saying goodbye is always a bit sad. Recently it was the last working day of our director / colleague / father Bas Stuij. A motivated and valued member of our team, with a wealth of knowledge and experience. In the year of our 50th anniversary, it is time to hand over his duties definitively to his sons Dennis and Colin. Time for a short farewell interview with Bas!

What have you done in the years that you have been with us?
I started working as a mechanic, after a number of years became chief technical service, then went into sales, became responsible for the GRP department, took over the company with a colleague, continued the company on my own and started a new company with a partner.

What are you most proud of?
Taking over the company, buying new business premises and creating a solid company that is known in the market.

What are you going to do with your free time now?
For the time being, continue with the new company Allshield Projects and possibly advice / assist with CTP and continue to relax and enjoy the other free time.

Together we look back on a great period in which you did a lot of good work for your customers and were always willing to lend a helping hand to your colleagues. It is a pity that you are leaving, but now it is also time to enjoy your retirement. A big goodbye-party is not possible at the moment, but we will certainly catch up on this. Have fun and enjoy the free time you deserve!
